Greetings, scientists. A here again. Today i went to the Extra Supertanker at The Club, Bukit Utama. I hope you would drop by at this place sometime. A table here and the meal was around RM400.
Here's how the outside looks like. Again, you'll have to use the elevator if you parked at the basement.
getting in...
Roast pork and duck. It was good, the pork did not contain too much fat and doesn't have any bad smell. The Duck was warm with nice crispy skin. There was sauce provided for the pork but not for the duck. The duck did have some fat on it. Pork rating: 3/5. Duck rating: 3.5/5
Steamed Lucky Fish (tong wan yu). The sauce. was 95% OIL. It was gingery with a slightly rough texture. It was rather fresh cuz.....
one of these three was the picture above!! (MURDER MURDER MURDER!)
it didn't have any bad smell and it was overall good. Rating: 3/5
Chopped bean sprout and carrots with glass noodles topped with chicken floss. The bean sprouts had a slight smell of pesticide but the chicken floss was sweet and is a good combination with it. The noodles were average. Rating: 2.5/5
Clay pot Chicken. It goes well with rice. the sauce is very balanced taste-wise. The chicken itself was good and was soft enough but not too soft. Rating: 4/5
The vegetables were nice and leafy, giving you the feel-good feeling of eating healthy with every chew. The soup was salty and covered the bitterness of the vegetables well. It was quite oily, though. Rating: 3.5/5
Next was tofu and melon. The tofu was good but it was slightly too watery. The melon was very, VERY bitter. The taste itself was just bitter. The texture was soft and the seeds were chewable. Rating: 2.5/5
The salted egg prawns were one of my favourites. The salted egg was spread evenly on the prawns and it wasn't too salty. The prawns were clean and de-veined and was average in freshness but the salted egg masked most of the taste. Rating: 4/5
Well, that was the end of it. They had fruits such as mango, watermelon and pineapple but they were all average and my fellow guinea pigs attacked it before i could get a good picture. Happy eating!
